Smart Meter Rollout Schedule - Update
23 February 2010CitiPower and Powercor are exchanging more than one million manually read electricity meters for smart meters, as part of a Victorian government program. The meter rollout is scheduled suburb by suburb and region by region and will be completed by 2013.

Powercor Continues Storm Recovery Effort
12 February 2010More than 65,500 Powercor Australia customers have lost power supply over the past two days and damage to the electricity distribution network has been extensive, with more than 50 transformers requiring replacement across a broad geographic network area.

Premium Feed in Tariffs
30 October 2009From 1 November 2009, a premium feed in tariff of 60 cents per kWh will be paid to eligible customers who feed electricity into the distribution grid through small scale solar photovoltaic systems with a capacity up to or equal to five kW.

Major Network Outage - All Customers Restored
08 October 2009At approximately 4.20 pm on 8 October, an incident within the Keilor Terminal Station interrupted supply to some 100,000 Powercor network customers, supplied through five separate Zone Substations in Woodend, Sunshine, Sunshine East, St Albans and Melton.

Fault Restoration Efforts Progressing Well
