The aim for any project must be its successful operation and maintenance. After all the hard work in conception, design, construction and supply, Powercor Network Services will always re-commit with the same passion, experience and determination to ensure the highest standards of maintenance and operational assets management.

We have developed strong expertise with our maintenance strategies, including Reliability Centred Maintenance planning. This plan is supported by a wide range of formal asset maintenance specifications developed over many years of practical experience and with thoughtful engineering evaluation.

As the maintenance service provider to our own network asset base, Powercor Network Services has made a significant contribution to improved asset reliability over the past 10 years. Our staff are formally accredited in HV and EHV system operating and we operate on a 24/7 basis, servicing clients other than our own asset base.

Our electrical plant staff are experienced in complex protection system maintenance and operation, undertaking routine maintenance services on complex plant and switchgear on a daily basis. Many of our staff are also experienced in telecommunications systems maintenance and operations, including fibre jointing and repair.

We understand the environmental implications of our works, from the restrictions of days of declared fire risk, to the risks from an oil spill. Our staff are trained and equipped to perform their maintenance tasks safely and effectively.
