Hampden Football Netball League
Powercor’s partnership with the Hampden Football Netball League is about backing what’s essential to life in south‑west Victoria
For generations, the League has been the heartbeat of weekends across the region, bringing together players, volunteers, families and supporters from towns big and small. Every match day is more than a game – it’s a chance for communities to connect, catch up and show pride in where they live through local football and netball.
The League plays a vital role in keeping regional communities active and connected, providing opportunities for people of all ages to participate, volunteer and belong. It supports grassroots sport that’s run by locals, for locals – and that strong volunteer spirit is what keeps clubs and communities thriving year after year.
As the region’s electricity distributor deeply embedded in south‑west Victoria, we’re proud to get behind the Hampden Football Netball League. By supporting grassroots sport, we’re investing in the people, places and community traditions that make the region what it is – on and off the field.
Bringing match-day action to more locals.
Our support for the League extends beyond the boundary line through our partnership with radio stations Coast FM and 3YB, proudly sponsoring Match of the Round each week. Together, we help broadcast the top football and netball match live on radio and via livestream – bringing the excitement, commentary and local stories straight to the community.
For supporters who can’t make it to the ground in person, this coverage ensures they can still follow the action, cheer on their club, and stay connected to their local teams. It’s all about making country football and netball more accessible than ever, while celebrating the moments that matter most to southwest Victoria.
Buckets, Footies and Grand Final Fun
What a day it was at the Hampden Football Netball League 2026 Grand Final at Reid Oval, Warrnambool.
Our local Powercor crew were proud to be part of the action, connecting with the community and helping make Grand Final day one to remember. Across the day, hundreds of attendees climbed aboard for bucket rides with our lineys, while more than 400 footballs were handed out to footy fans of all ages.
A big thank you to everyone who stopped by, grabbed a free footy, and joined the fun. We love being part of such a fantastic community event and sharing in the excitement of the Grand Final atmosphere.
