Drone inspections help keep networks safe and reliable

Electricity networks CitiPower and Powercor are using drones to help inspect power assets from the air, helping keep the network safe and reliable.

In the latest in our Leading energy in innovation series, we take a look at how our teams are making the most of this technology.

Powercor manages its network of almost 90,000km of powerline and 588,000 poles through a rigorous inspection and maintenance program, on top of a network-wide vegetation management program clearing trees and shrubs well away from powerlines.
