Renewable generation

With some of Victoria’s best resource areas for large-scale wind and solar generation within the Powercor region, we work closely with project proponents to plan for connections to our network. We also support the installation of embedded generation with greater than 5MW capacity.

These projects rely on our assets and infrastructure to supply the power generated. Depending on the size and scale of the development proposed, there are different regulatory considerations.

In each case, our role is to support with data and technical information required for the business case for the project, design and construct any connection point and all supporting infrastructure required to connect to our network and liaise with AEMO regarding network access approvals.
