Fitzroy Zone Substation Offload

CitiPower is installing new power infrastructure in Fitzroy, Collingwood and Clifton Hill to help maintain a safe and reliable electricity supply now and into the future due to commence later this year.

As part of these works, we’re modernising key infrastructure and preparing to retire some older assets.

To do this, we need to:

1. Offload the Fitzroy Zone Substation (F ZSS) located on Moor Street.
2. Transfer supply to nearby substations, including Collingwood.
3. Reconfigure the local network to support the updated load paths.

This work will make the power network stronger and more resilient—supporting future energy demands in Fitzroy and surrounding suburbs.

While we complete these essential works, you may notice some temporary disruptions to traffic or power supplies. We’ll give you plenty of notice about any planned outages, and we’re committed to keeping impacts to a minimum.
