Online Permit Applications

You may need a site visit and Permit to Work before you start certain types of work within our distribution network.

This permit will detail the conditions and methods you must adhere to in order to carry out the proposed work on site. If, following a site visit, a Permit to Work is granted, you will be responsible for ensuring that a copy of your permit is on site at all times as a digital or hard copy.

Large scale works

For companies undertaking large scale works, you may qualify for an ‘Appendix V’ multiple site permit. These permits are subject to strict criteria and assessed by our inspectors. As part of the process, we may be required to visit your work site to make an assessment.

Renewal of expired Permit to Work

You may request renewal of an expiring Permit to Work which will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and at the discretion of CitiPower and Powercor. Submitting a request does not automatically guarantee renewal.

Transporting high loads

CitiPower and Powercor must approve transport of loads greater than 4.6 metres within our distribution areas. If you are transporting a high load, you may need a permit from VicRoads. This requires our approval of your transport route.

Completion of works

Once your works are completed, you are required to notify us of the completion of your works by completing the form below.
