Annual Notification 2025Annual Notification 2025

As your electricity network provider, we manage the poles, wires and meters that deliver power to your home or business – every day.

Each year, we’re required to let you know how we’re tracking. Take a look below at a snapshot of the work we’ve been doing and find out how you can be safe, be smart and be ready for this summer.

We take your privacy seriously and will only use your information in accordance with the Electricity Distribution Code of Practice, set by the Essential Services Commission, and our own privacy policy, which you can view here. Your electricity retailer (the one who sends your bill) is required to share your details with us so we can keep you informed. If you’ve chosen to hear from us directly, you may also receive updates from us from time to time.

Be safe. Be smart. Be ready.

Storms, floods and wind can impact our network and your power supply, so it’s important you’re prepared.

It’s during these times we appreciate how essential power supplies are. A loss of power can affect your community’s internet connections, mobile phone towers, water supplies, traffic signals, and EFTPOS payments. In your home or building, it will affect how you live and work, particularly heating, cooling, refrigeration, cooking, lighting and elevators.

We monitor weather conditions closely and get ready for these types of events. When they occur, our people work hard to safely get the power back on for you as quickly as possible. You can act too by preparing for power outages as part of your emergency plan.

There are three important steps to being prepared:

  1. Be safe. Your health and safety is the priority.
  2. Be smart. If the power goes out, you’ll want to stay connected.
  3. Be ready. Have a plan in place for back-up power.
