Royal Melbourne Hospital power upgrade

Works
We’ll be completing underground power cable connections on Therry Street and Bouverie Street as per the map below. The majority of construction works were be completed between September and October 2024.

Traffic Impacts

• During works there will be some temporary traffic impacts on Therry Street, Elizabeth Street and Bouverie Street.
• Local traffic, bicycle and pedestrian access will be maintained at all times with traffic control in place to safely guide vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians around the work area.

What to expect

• Electricity supply will be maintained, there are no planned outages during these works.
• Works will include digging up parts of the road and footpath to install and connect underground cables.
• Some of this work will be noisy.

• Thursday 19th – Corner Therry Street/ Victoria Street & Bouverie Street – 7am to 3pm.
• Friday 20th – Corner Therry Street /Victoria Street & Bouverie Street – 7am to 3pm.
• Saturday 21st – Therry Street between Queen Street and Victoria Street – 7am to 3pm.
• Sunday 22nd – Therry Street between Queen Street and Victoria Street – 7am to 3pm.
• Wednesday 25th – Therry Street between Elizabeth Street & Victoria Street – 7am to 3pm.
• Thursday 26th – Therry Street between Elizabeth Street & Victoria Street – 7am to 3pm.
